Shakespeare Ghost Town的点评
点评：On our trip to Yuma, Mardi and I passed the ghost town of Stein, near the Arizona–New Mexico border. We promised ourselves we’d return the next time we headed east. Later, while researching online, I discovered that Stein is now privately owned and closed to the public.
During that search, I came across another ghost town—Shakespeare, located about 30 miles away. This one offers guided tours for $15 per person, so Mardi and I decided to check it out on a Sunday morning. We had an absolute blast!
Dave, the owner and tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience come alive. If you ever find yourself near Lordsburg, New Mexico, don’t miss this spot—it’s a fascinating glimpse into life in the Old West.
Dave is also a Harvest Host, which means RV boondocking is allowed on his property (but remember—no trespassing!). I also found a great PBS video about Shakespeare Ghost Town that I thought I’d share. Hope you enjoy my photos!
