Doesn’t live up to the hype ( especially for better players)

点评：As you arrive everything looks impressive and lives up to the Royal title. The best area was the practice facilities with a nice range and the best practice putting green of any course I have played anywhere. Really makes you excited for the round. Unfortunately the course doesn’t quite live up to this promise. The fairways show the signs of over use with lots of divots and the greens are nowhere near as good as the practice area with lots of unrepaired pitch marks and areas needing attention. Bunkers were a good quality and well maintained.
The course as a whole is a pleasant tree lined experience but not much of a test for the mid to low handicaps. It’s just not long enough to make the various par 4’s seem different from each other. Every par 4 ( except 1) was a driver & wedge if you hit it anywhere around 225yds+.
Caddies are obligatory although don’t presume they will carry your bag. I joined a 3 ball who were in buggies. I like to walk a course and it was 1 caddy between all 4 of us so the expectation was either that I carried my own or put them on one of the buggies. The caddy was fine for assisting with putts.
All staff were very pleasant and the overall ambience was good but it just felt like the condition and variety of the course let it down a little.

虽然球童是必须配备的，但别指望他们会帮你背球包。我当时是加入了一个乘坐球车的三人一组的球局。我喜欢打完整场球，我们四个人只配了一名球童，因此我本以为要么得自己背球包，要么把球包放在球车上来推。这位球童在帮我处理推球方面做得不错。
所有工作人员都非常友善，整体氛围也不错，不过球场的状况以及球道类型的多样性似乎稍微拖了后腿。
