点评：We experienced a completely avoidable safety incident during our visit.
As we entered the barn to watch the show, a gust of wind caused the entrance door to swing open and hit a large freestanding wooden sign positioned next to it. The sign collapsed and fell directly onto my 2-year-old son, striking him above the eye and causing a raised bruise to his forehead.
The door had no restraining mechanism and the heavy wooden sign was not secured in any way. This is a main entrance area used by families with young children. Basic risk control measures were clearly lacking.
While a first aider applied ice and an incident form was completed, the manager’s response was deeply disappointing. There was no real sense of urgency, no meaningful reassurance, and no visible immediate action taken to make the area safe. The tone felt procedural rather than genuinely concerned.
We were fortunate that the injury was limited to bruising. However, the outcome could easily have been far worse. A heavy wooden sign falling onto a toddler’s head has obvious potential for serious injury.
Accidents can happen, but this felt preventable. Doors exposed to wind should be fitted with restraints, and heavy signage should not be left unsecured at an entrance.
Until clear safety improvements are made, parents should be aware of the risks.
