点评：From the moment Katsumi-san pulled up to my hotel, I knew I was in expert hands. He greeted me with a warm smile and a tray of juicy, delicious Japanese strawberries—a sweet start to our journey into Narita.
Omotesandō Highlights
Our first 90 minutes were pure magic, strolling Omotesandō alongside the ever-cheerful Kimmey-san. At Machikado Fureaikan I donned a traditional samurai outfit, and the double-takes we got while popping in and out of the shops were priceless!
We refueled with a classic Japanese snack (anmitsu - あんみつ) at Miyoshi-ya Café and indulged in delicate sweets at Nagomi Yoneya. A quick stop at the Narita Tourist Pavilion revealed layers of local history I’d never have uncovered on my own. Before leaving the street, we snagged some awesome T-shirts at a souvenir shop—perfect gifts for folks back home.
Countryside Discoveries
The afternoon unfolded with equal charm:
* Surprise pockets of blooming sakura framing the rural landscape
* A peaceful wander through Tani Fish Farm
* Quiet drives along Narita’s patchwork of farmlands
* A humbling visit to the giant standing Buddha statue
Considering the sheer distance we covered, the transportation alone made the tour’s price an absolute bargain.

Katsumi-san’s encyclopedic knowledge—and his stash of humorous local tales—turned every stop into a living storybook. I even tried yaki imo (焼き芋) for the first time; the warm, almost gooey texture was the perfect rainy-day treat. 😋

I’m eagerly awaiting a return trip, and next time I’ll be certain to skip breakfast (I indulged a bit too much at the local Lawson conbini that morning). I don’t want to miss out on that legendary local unagi Katsumi-san keeps raving about!
