Excellent Tour of the unique Tarkine. Once is a life time trip

点评：We honestly can’t believe how much we loved this experience. From start to finish, the variety of what we were shown was extraordinary — magnificent forests, stunning rivers, and an absolutely breathtaking coastline.
Holger, our tour leader, was outstanding. His knowledge across so many areas — from birdlife to trees to geology — was simply brilliant. Our other 2 guides were also very special. They were incredibly polite, helpful, and impressively knowledgeable in their own right. All three of them were calm, capable, and highly professional, which meant everything felt seamless, well organised, and thoughtfully planned. Nothing was ever a bother or felt rushed.
The facilities were far beyond anything we expected. We certainly weren’t anticipating beds in the tents, showers, and toilets in the forest! The accommodation at Corinna was also much more luxurious than we had imagined.
And the food — wow. It exceeded every expectation. It would have been easy to provide very basic meals, but instead every meal felt gourmet, beautifully prepared, and plentiful.
While I initially joined the trip to experience the magnificent forest and its unique, beautiful trees, the coast ended up being my favourite part. I have never seen a coastline like it — the samphire fields, bull kelp, enormous middens, and the remarkable conglomerate rocks filled with huge pebble boulders, alongside the dramatic spiky vertical rock formations. Two unforgettable highlight were Holger catching a large lobster and abalone, as well as seeing the critically endangered orange-bellied parrot!
It was an exceptional experience, one that will stay with us forever. The Tarkine is a genuinely unique place in the world, and this trip gave us profound insight into both its wilderness and the ongoing challenges of protecting wilderness in Tasmania.
