A Wonderful Heritage Stay for Horse Lovers and Families

点评：We visited Dundlod Fort to celebrate our daughter’s 8th birthday, travelling as a family with our eight- and three-year-old children, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience.
Our children wanted to be close to horses, and this is an excellent place for that. The stables are fantastic—clean, well maintained, and most importantly, the horses are clearly loved, well cared for, and treated with respect. Spending time around them was a highlight for both our kids and us.
Mallika and her entire team deserve a special mention. They are exceptionally warm, welcoming, flexible, and genuinely caring. From the moment we arrived, we felt looked after—not in a formal hotel-like way, but in a deeply personal, home-like manner. They went out of their way to ensure our children were comfortable and happy, which makes all the difference when travelling with young kids.
The food was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal felt comforting and generous, adding to the feeling of being in a family home rather than a commercial hotel.
It’s important to set the right expectations: this is not a five-star luxury property. The amenities are basic, but they are clean, pleasant, and perfectly adequate. What you get instead is character, warmth, heritage, and authenticity. If you’re looking for polished luxury, this may not be the right fit—but if your purpose is to stay in a heritage fort, enjoy a slower pace, and spend meaningful time around horses, you will absolutely love it.
Overall, Dundlod Fort offers a beautiful, grounded, and heartfelt experience. We left feeling cared for, relaxed, and grateful—and our children left with memories they will carry for a long time. We would happily recommend it to families who value heritage, animals, and genuine hospitality over five-star frills.
