点评:Aramark is anathema to everything the Park Service stands for. I can't imagine what it must be like for Park Rangers to have to work with a company that clearly has no reverence for the values that the Park Service represents and that Rangers dedicate their professional lives to.
Approach a Ranger with a question and they are courteous and professional even if they're having a "bad day". Approach the Aramark manager at Manzana and it's the polar opposite.
The manager, rude, belligerent, and utterly unprofessional complains about having to work, while on the floor in immediate earshot of park goers. Opening the door to let us in she says to one of her employees, "I can't wait till this season is finally over." Clearly expressing disdain for us as half a dozen of us are entering after waiting for the Village Store to open late because of a power outage that had already ended.
Perhaps someone in the Park Service can influence someone at Aramark to end this manager's "season" early and permanently so she can find a job more appropriate to her abhorrent disposition.
Unfortunately this attitude and behavior is not confined to Manzana or Crater Lake. Aramark is a stain on the entire National Park system and has been for an inordinate amount of time. It's overdue for the NPS to sever it's protracted and dysfunctional relationship with Aramark.
