点评：This market has now closed down and been replaced by a new one down the road.
I travelled by bus to Oldham and found the old market building easily, walked all around it and it was a substantial red brick building market, some of the outside stalls serving food were open.
Now for its replacement. I found it difficult to find it without asking or checking the Internet.
Finally I found an entrance through a shopping centre. Only shopping centre in Oldham. Going through a shopping centre to get to a market seems very 1970s. But this new market was clean and built to a higher standard than the typical 1970s market. It reminded me of the new Bradford market, but it was only half the size of that one.
Another main entrance was at the back of the building. This entrance was grand with lots of stairs and lifts to the main market on the first floor. The ground floor only had a florist and hairdresser and a couple of cafes.
Overall the new market looks tiny compared to the old one.
