点评:We were staying in Hamilton, and getting to the museum at the naval dockyard by the comfortable and clean ferry was a wonderful experience in itself. There is a reasonable entry fee, and allow yourself at least two hours to explore the grounds and the exhibits on display. We saw a great deal, in the Queens Exhibition Hall, there is a curated exhibit on the story of Bermuda told through its shipwrecks - a novel approach to sharing history, an explanation of how the island was established, and the complicated emergence of slavery on the island. We walked the ramparts, and toured the Commissionaire's Home, which now houses exhibits of the use of limestone for houses, the Portuguese arrival in Bermuda, the US on the Island, the development of tourism, the Bermuda military and related artifacts, and art related to slavery. The Bermuda mural is well worth seeing. We explored the museum on a lovely day, and enjoyed the mix of indoor and outdoor - this is a not be missed museum that tells quite the tale of the country.
