点评：I imagine that a visit to the Botanical Gardens is often compared with a visit to the Monte Palace Garden. Having experienced both, it's fair to say that they are two very different gardens. Both have their merits. We visited both in mid September. The Botanical Gardens reviewed here were very enjoyable if you're an admirer of nature's beauty both in terms of the near infinite array of flora and fauna as well as the bird and insect wildlife that enjoys the free buffet. It's important to bear in mind that you'll enjoy various and different blooms depending on the time of year you're visiting. Being a big fan of the Camellias, I was disjointed to discover that they don't bloom until October. We're told that April/ May is a very good time to visit as well. The cafe on site was reasonable and very good although the lemon cake did not have any lemon flavours as far as we could tell but light and fluffy otherwise. We felt that in the interest of proper upkeep and maintenance of the gardens for future generations, the admittance charge of €10 each was fair. Some of the paths through the gardens could do with some repairs but overall we very much enjoyed exploring the gardens.
