点评:We took the trail that was winding uphill to reach the Botanical Gardens of the University of Zurich. Entrance was free. We found it to be a very interesting place where they were nurturing plant species from different parts of the world. The xerophytes, the tropical flowering species, creepers, terrarium style planting to view through glass, rain forest like vegetation in dome shaped conservatories were all very well displayed. Botanical garden had several ponds with lilies and wondered how they survived the harsh winter. In one area there was a stepped lawn with a flat arena which may be used for outdoor lectures or shows. Café Botanica was in hand to provide much needed refreshments. It was well spent time as we all admired the layout and the “nature” to which they took us to through their display.
