点评:When visiting a city we usually like to take in a ballet or opera.
As we were to be in Zurich I booked tickets for Die Fledermaus.
To get decent tickets I would have had to sell a kidney so I plumped for a couple of " seats " that cost the equivalent of two McDonald's combo meals ( I know this for a fact, more later. )
The Opera house is a spectacularly beautiful building both inside and out and I would recommend anyone to visit.
I wasn't expecting much and having been led to our seats which comprised of basically two barstools at the back of a box I soon realised that we couldn't actually see the stage what with a piller and other punters being in the way, this became more apparent when the performance started, a few times I glimpsed a performer between the heads of the people in front.
At this level they really shouldn't sell tickets beyond the first two rows as no one can see clearly.
Having seen pretty much nothing of the first act we decided to bail out at the interval, it would have been pointless to return.
Which led us to the McDonald's across the square which is how I know the price comparison.
Should anyone from the opera house read this and feel at all guilty at having sold me really crap tickets I would accept reimbursement happily, plus the cost of our delicious combo meals as compensation.
