点评：I stopped by Grossmünster Church after stopping by nearby Fraumünster. While both churches are important to the city’s heritage, Grossmünster offers a different experience.
The exterior of Grossmünster is notable for its Romanesque architecture, with twin towers that dominate the skyline. The building exudes a historic charm, and stepping inside, you’re greeted by a sense of tranquility that invites reflection.
The interior of the church is relatively simple, but it maintains a sense of reverence. While it lacks the vibrant artistry found in Fraumünster, there is a serene beauty in its minimalism. Legend says this church was founded by Charlemagne, the “father of Europe.” The story tells that he discovered the graves of Zürich's patron saints, Felix and Regula, and built a church on top.
Located conveniently near Fraumünster, it makes for an easy additional stop. Visitors can appreciate the different architectural styles while strolling through Zurich’s charming streets.
It was pretty busy when I stopped by; lots of people walking in and out of the doors, some people taking a moment to sit and take a break after walking through town.
If you’re in the area, it’s a quick yet enriching experience to round out your exploration of Zurich’s historical sites.
