The Ironbridge is not closed.
The Iron Bridge and Tollhouse的点评
点评：I visited Ironbridge at the weekend as I was in the area and as previously my visits have been thoroughly enjoyable and I would recommend a visit if you haven't been previously. The bridge is a remarkable piece of engineering given the geology in the area. This year's was the 250th anniversary of the Act of Parliament which enable the bridge to be built under the auspices of Abraham Darby.
It was however a surprise to learn that the Ironbridge is temporarily closed according to Trip Advisor, when it clearly open to the public as a crossing between both sides of the river (not vehicles) It is the Toll Hise which is Temporarily closed whilst it is transferring to the National Trust.
The Ironbridge itself is in the Guardianship of English Heritage and is free to visit, the town of Ironbridge and its businesses are all open.
Unfortunately having this two separate attractions under one heading leads to this confusion.
