Excellent restaurant, fun evening!

点评：Came here on Monday this week and had a meal with friends in the 1866 restaurant. Good view of the racing as the restaurant is part of the grandstand, not quite next to the finish line but prob 50 yards short. It does have a small viewing area outside but that got really busy, so we just kept going down to trackside for every race. Staff are plentiful, attentive and friendly, and they were more than happy to time food servings around the races. Food is pretty decent, not huge portions but then thats no big deal. They were also very good to cater for one of our group who has several intolerances. Plenty of choice of beer and wine, not hugely overpriced.
Great little racetrack, very good vibe about it and everyone pretty friendly. We also went to the after racing party, this was the Edwin Starr band, who were really good and got the crowd going with some 'bangers'. Only drawback was the militant closing of all bars bang on 10pm. I appreciate that this is the time at which their license stops but it did seem very early and kinda killed the party stone dead!
All in all a really good evening and would definitely recommend this as a fun place/event for a group.
