Inhospitable hospitality spoilt the evening.
Royal Windsor Racecourse的点评
点评：Arrived by boat from Windsor which was a lovely start to the evening. The walk up to the course was exciting as we saw the horses arriving. The room and view of the finishing post was great. We were ready for a fun evening.
The weather was chilly but the food and the hospitality was even chillier! One chicken thigh only (which was tasty, but one thigh) no nan bread, no chutney and no poppodoms, the latter ‘dip size’ appeared later from a supermarket bag and then disappeared very quickly! The waitress was quite rude and even questioned that my husband of already taking his plate earlier - the girls had gone to the buffet separately. The people on the tables around us were also hungry and went off and bought burger and chips from the vendors outside - we were all hungry and this food was hot!
I wrote to the hospitality section at the racecourse to express our disappointment. As of today, there is no reply, no apology, no ‘looking into the matter’, no review of their services. Sorry hospitality but you are the most inhospitable hospitality at any racecourse I have had the pleasure of attending. I do actually think they need to see how it’s done at other racecourses and act on their findings. I also note on trip adviser that people had similar in hospitable hospitality at Royal Windsor racecourse. A very chilly night with cold food and a frosty waitress. Reflecting on the whole experience makes me shiver and spoilt what was to be a lovely occasion. We had travelled from the Channel Islands.
