点评：We visited the Bull on Saturday 18th April 2026.
We’d last visited on Christmas Day, for Christmas dinner. That visit was excellent, and completely opposite to the most recent visit.
There’s been a management change since Christmas 2025, and the difference in the quality of the food, speed of service and engagement by the new staff is shocking, in comparison.
The beer was fine, once we’d actually been served by a group of miserable unengaging staff. Everyone of them looked miserable, and served customers with deference, bordering on disgust.
I’ve never felt so much that I was an inconvenience.
We ordered a sandwich and some chips. There was no one else eating, and it took 46 minutes for the food to arrive to table 1.
The young lad who brought the food over was as miserable as the rest, and when we asked for some vinegar and ketchup for the chips, he looked at us with a screwed up face, and uttered a sharp ‘What?’
I said “Never mind”. Opting for a swift end to the encounter. The chips were hot. The price for what the relieved was extortionate.
The service was shocking. Especially when we had experienced such I difference in December.
Needless to say we won’t be returning for Christmas dinner this year.
On a positive note, there’s the Fleece and Old White Lion to visit on the next occasion we go out for lunch. We will not be going back to the Bull. Shame on them for being so appalling.

不用说，今年圣诞节我们肯定不会再来这里吃晚餐了。
不过，下次出去吃午饭的话，可以去Fleece和Old White Lion看看。我们绝不会再去Bull了。他们服务这么差劲，真是丢人现眼。
