点评：We visited Isola Bella while we were in Taormina in late April 2026 on the third leg of a five week visit to Sicily. Isola Bella is a beach area below Taormina and is reachable by cable car or on foot. We took the cable car to Mazzarò station and then walked for a few minutes on busy via Nazionale to reach the entrance to Riserva Naturale Orientata Isola Bella. After descending a number of steep steps we arrived at the picturesque beach area. To be frank, between the crowds, the persistent vendors and the many cafes impinging on the beach area, the beauty of the setting was diminished (at least for us) and we were somewhat disappointed. Perhaps if we had arrived earlier or later the scene might have been less chaotic and more enjoyable. In any case, after walking along the beach we returned to the cable car and rode back to Taormina.
