Truly spectacular!
富尔韦圣母院的点评
点评：OK first thing first. If it is a hot and sunny day do not walk from the old town to here, there is no shade and very little seating and it's long and steep, instead get the funicular railway.
Once you arrive at the top (whichever way) your greater with a grand yet unpretentious church like many other but wait until you get inside!!
As you head through the doors you're immediately overwhelmed with spectacular architectural splendour. Every inch from top to bottom has something to look at, it's a true wonderment.
My recommendation is to take a seat for a few moments so that you can just take it all in and then go and explore a little more each of the details.
The crypt downstairs is nowhere near as opulent but does showcase shrines to Mary, Mother of Christ from different nations and the alter is stunning. Unfortunately during our trip this time there was a music performance later on so a big screen and instruments were blocking the alter from view.
Outside the terrace allows for truly spectacular views across the whole of Lyon and beyond.
Do not leave Lyon without visiting here!
