A bit of a sleepy hollow.

点评：We’ve stayed here for 10 nights. It’s a strange place. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes which are all wonderful but there is only one shop which is very odd. It’s called Conrad City and it was a 25 minute walk from our hotel and it closed at 8:30pm. The clothes shops and other retail shops don’t seem to be open for very long at all in the day, mainly from around 8 - 12 then they close until around 4pm then only a few reopen until around 7pm so it appears to be a bit of a ghost town. Mondays in particular are the worst as most places are closed.
There’s one museum, a train that’s pretty cool that takes you to Montecatini Alto which is a village up in the hills.
There’s a large park with not much in it.
Would I stay here again, no. It’s more of a hub to visit other places from as it’s on a good Trainline.
The restaurants are relatively well priced when compared to Florence, a fillet steak will cost €20 on average and an Aperol Spritz €6 to €12, ice creams from €2.50 to €5 depending on the size.
Even in August it seemed empty, there isn’t anything to do or visit here and if you do visit the 1 or 2 places that are here, you’ll be scratching around for things to do after a couple of hours.
