点评:Among Florence's multiple art museums this compact nook of history is kind of refreshing, especially if you are interested in science. They exhibit many kinds of scientific and travel devices, research samples, watches and equipment from the Age of Discovery. Among the curiosities, my relative, a chemistry teacher, was amazed to see a complete chemical lab desk of her colleague from the 16th century! Also, there is an entire room section showing (on a large scale!) the stages of giving birth, with anatomical body molds (maybe a bit shocking for children, but it's up to you, parents, to decide)). All in all, if you are a curious person, happen to be in the city center, but need a break from art, this is a 1-2 hours well spend and showing you a different side of Renaissance. And it's just around the corner from the Uffizzi.
