点评:The cloisters here are magnificent (I've seen the pictures) and so I bought advance online tickets for today's visit. When I arrived around 11 am the crowds were so long and static that I knew it would be a good couple of hours before I got in to the cloisters. I tried to talk to a guard and explain that I have a knee disability but he was rather rude in reply, barely acknowledging my remarks. I understand that they may not want to make exceptions, but at least the man could have been polite in his refusal? The other thing that annoyed me was that usually buying a ticket to anything guarantees a visit after a reasonable wait -- or in some cases, allows one to skip a queue altogether. Here encouraging people to buy tickets beforehand seems to be a moneymaking device, since I'm sure that I'm not the only person who would be daunted by the length of the queue (composed entirely of people who'd bought tickets before hand) or be too exhausted to explore the place when their turn finally arrived. It would be much fairer if people were either encouraged to buy online tickets and then allowed to forego queues, or, not to be encouraged to buy advance tickets at all. My own ticket was wasted, and I hope that this review discourages people from buying in advance and repenting at leisure to visit what is a beautiful monastery administered by rude and arrogant guards.
