Best way to discover the wildlife in stewart island

点评：Yesterday we spent a private day with my family on a Stewart Island Snorkeling Adventure with our guide Oli, and it was an absolutely incredible experience.
Ollie was super friendly, super fun, and extremely knowledgeable about the marine fauna and wildlife around Rakiura, New Zealand. He shared so much insight throughout the day and made the whole experience both educational and enjoyable.
As an avid spearfisherman and fisherman, I asked him if we could look for crabs and different marine animals, and he was more than happy to make it happen. We explored some truly beautiful and untouched landscapes, surrounded by stunning scenery everywhere we went. He showed us an amazing variety of fish and kelp forests, and even helped me catch crabs,which I absolutely love eating.
He also had all the equipment and wetsuits we needed, which made everything very easy and comfortable.
At one point, we were even visited by sea lions, who came to check us out and played around with us for a while during the crab fishing. It was such a special and unexpected moment.
My family was really happy, and I was beyond happy at the end of the day. Later that night, we even got to enjoy the crabs we caught fresh and absolutely delicious.
We learned a huge amount about the island’s wildlife and ecosystems, and the whole experience felt both personal and unforgettable. I would 100% recommend this activity to anyone visiting Stewart Island.
