点评：We came here on our first Day of the 8N Easter Europe Trip but as it is late-Nov it was not as flowery as we have expected. Probably due to changing over season.
The Mirabel Gardens is one of the most magnificent baroque gardens in Europe, located right next to Mirabell Palace. In this magical garden, you can admire the impressive sculptures depicting Greek mythological figures and personifications of the four elements. The artistic design elements and the carefully maintained green areas give the garden a special appeal. But early-Dec and the fountain is actually beginning to freeze!
The Great Parterre, a central area of the Mirabel Gardens, is dominated by the majestic Pegasus Fountain. Very impressive setting, the fountain, the winged Pegasus, the symbol of poetry with many other sculptures. From a distance we can even see the magnificent Fortress on the hilltop..
Indeed an unforgettable experience visit that has brought us closer to the beauty of Baroque-style garden art. I think if we have visited it in April where flowers blossom it would definitely be “admirable – beautiful” the Garden’s name translated into Italian!
It was a cold 3 deg and we spent about 30 mins taking phots before we move on to the next designation.. Definitely a visit to immense in the unique atmosphere of this historic complex.
