点评:This place sounds great in theory, but sadly does not live up to what is sold on the website or a lot of the reviews to be honest.
There was not a single staff member in the entire park other than the. very surly man at the gate checking people in, and the nice guy in the cafe. No one was around to oversee the people interacting with the animals, or upkeeping the park.
The park itself is very run down. Wobbly and poorly made bridges, lots of debris everywhere, badly maintained walls and a lot of disgusting ponds just full of slime and algae. The scenery itself is totally beautiful - the mountains and trees are gorgeous, but this is nothing to do with Reserva Park.
Regarding the animals - the owls and bird of prey were kept in pitifully small enclosures that were disgusting and covered with dead bird feathers and faeces. The birds barely have space to spread their wings, let alone fly. This seems cruel and wholly un-necessary given the size of the park. This is cruelty to my mind. Also, the bear was the same - a tiny enclosure for an animal of its size and very poorly kept. The bear looked distressed and just paced back and forth along one fence line. I would say it was very unhappy. The peacocks wandering around the cafe area also looked in very poor condition - many of the males had no long tail feathers left at all. I have no idea if people had been pulling them out, or if again, they were stressed and dropping their feathers.
I was shocked and disgusted at the behaviour of people with the animals - I witnessed people feeding them cheese puffs, sandwiches and french fries. How is this a protective environment for animals when they are being mistreated by the public, unchecked, by any staff or handlers. It was really upsetting to see, as animals SHOULD NOT be fed human food, particularly not ultra-processed garbage. I was very angry about this.
The 'waterfalls' are fake. They are basically concrete pools with chlorinated water and some man-made rock waterfalls. The pools are all dirty looking, cloudy and full of kids that you can guarantee are peeing in them. There is clearly not a lot of maintenance or upkeep there either.
Toilets were all dirty, full of rubbish and horrible. All along the trail there was litter here and there. Sadly, a standard these days in Mallorca.
We also, despite following ALL the green arrows, totally missed the zip wire. The one thing my son really wanted to do.
All in all, this was a huge disappointment. The only good point was that it is the quietest place we have been on the island this week. At least it wasn't absolutely crawling with tourists like everywhere else. However, the state of it could explain why this was the case.
For the EUR34 I paid for me and my two kids, I would say it wasn't worth it. This park has a lot to do to bring it up to standard and I am shocked that the living conditions for the animals are allowed.
