点评：We first observed the Bridge from the heights above as we entered Florence early in the morning. It was dimly lit in the early morning sun as wisps of fog lifted. As the sun rose, the bridge was reflected in the water below. The scene was ethereal and mind consuming. Later in the day, we actually walked the bridge and perused the myriad of boutiques attached to it. The jewelry collections in the windows were beyond belief. Having seen the windows of Tiffany, Cartier, and Harry Winston in New York, the artistry of the Firenze goldsmiths matched and surpassed these world renowned vendors. Every piece was 18 karat or greater and captured one's imagination. While the jewelry was fabulous to look at, it was "trop cher" for my wallet. However, I did break down and made a small purchase for my wife's birthday. The shopping experience made our day.
