点评:Honestly: beautiful bay with clear waters, shallow entry, lots of sea animals, turtles, dugongs, tons of reef fish, stone fish, lion fish, triggerfish among many other. We stayed at a JAZ hotel located at that bay. Nature here deserves 6* out of 5!
Unfortunately this experience is ruined by over tourism, every day from around 9am to 6pm there’s minimum 7 to 13 boats at any given time, with hundreds of tourists coming from Port Ghalib to see the dugongs, tourists who not only mostly don’t know how to swim or behave in the water but also who harasses those magnificent animals. If there is a dugong there’s always over 20 people around it coming with tour boats, so you have no chance to come any close to them. Also the tour guides from dingy boats freedive to take photos of animals and tourists and harasses the animals that way. Last thing the dingy boats swims very unreasonably and extremely close to divers and snorkerels - it’s just waiting for an accident to happen! Unfortunately - over tourism kills this beautiful place slowly. Very big pity…hope Egyptian tourism office will do something about this and stop that nonsense and destruction of their national nature heritage!!!
