An absolute fantastic 10 day birding and photography trip

点评：First and foremost, Ecuador is an extraordinary destination for birdwatching and bird photography, that offered some of the richest biodiversity in the world within a relatively small geographic area. From lush cloud forests to vibrant paramo habitats, every location felt alive with birds, creating endless opportunities for both observation and photography. The sheer variety of species, colors, and behaviors made every day exciting and rewarding, whether spotting a rare bird for the first time or capturing a perfect shot in ideal light.
A major highlight of the trip was, Jorge Luna. His deep knowledge of Ecuador’s birdlife, keen ability to locate species, and understanding of what photographers need made a tremendous difference. He always positioned me thoughtfully for the best angles and lighting, while sharing fascinating insights about the birds and their environments. His enthusiasm and professionalism elevated the entire experience.
The accommodations throughout the journey were excellent—comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly suited for early mornings and long days in the field. The food was absolutely fantastic, showcasing Ecuador’s rich culinary culture with fresh ingredients and consistently high quality. Every meal felt like part of the overall adventure.
This trip exceeded expectations in every way. Ecuador delivered world-class birding, outstanding photography opportunities, exceptional guiding, and memorable hospitality. I would return to Ecuador without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone passionate about birdwatching and nature photography.
