The best day from my trip!

点评：I did a levada hike with Madeira Wonder Hikes and I had the best day!!
I was going to Madeira for the first time as a solo female traveller and I contacted the company prior to arriving in Maderia to find out information on what trips they were running. Marcio was super friendly and helpful right from the start and gave me lots of useful information - he gave off a really good energy even just from his messages!
And he did not disappoint in person - he was really lovely and personable and I felt safe being lead through the levada by him. It had been raining a lot on Madeira in the week before my trip so we had to unexpectedly cross the stream barefoot multiple times that day. However I wasn't worried as I trusted Marcio to guide us and I knew we would be safe if we followed his instructions - in fact, crossing the stream barefoot made it into even more of an unforgettable adventure!
The levada walk itself was absolutely stunning - so green and peaceful with gorgeous views of the village, and because of all the previous rainfall, the waterfalls and streams were full of life!
I also met another female solo traveller on the trip and we stayed friends and did more trips in Maderia together!
All in all, I had such a great day and I will definitely be booking more trips with Madeira Wonder Hikes when I come back to Maderia (& recommending them to others!). Thank you so much Marcio for such a great adventure and amazing day out!! :)
