Aquanauts Grenada的点评
点评：When I reviewed the dive companies in Grenada I was seeking some recreational dives with my wife and a decent tech dive on the Bianca C. Aquanauts didn’t disappoint.
For the recreational dives we joined a larger group on their boat ‘Reggae’. The boat safety briefing was excellent. I brought my own regs, but they supplied a good set for my wife with a gauge in bar not PSI, which I very much appreciated. There were plenty of DMs available but we generally took care of each other and bunged up a DSMB when we were done. Every dive site was carefully explained before each dive so we knew exactly what to expect, and the sites were all spectacular.
For the Bianca C., there was no way I was doing anything less than sidemount plus a dedo cylinder, and I had the pleasure of the boss Tom’s company for the dive. We had plenty of time to set up and test the wing and regs provided, and we used 26%, 30% and 60% mixes on the dive. Tom’s briefing was super clear and we both knew what was going to happen on the dive from the negative entry onwards. That wreck is huge, and you get a great view as you approach. We shot down to swim under the stern at 48.7m, coming out to find the biggest turtle I have ever seen. With the mixes we had, we managed a good 20 minutes on the wreck before starting our ascent, which is what we had individually planned and agreed beforehand. Tom lead the dive decisively and clearly, and we both knew what each other was doing all the time. At 12m we put up DSMBs, switched to 60% O2 and hung for just 12 minutes of deco. By the time we surfaced, the others on the boat had been for a dive, been retrieved and were sitting in the bow. We surfaced after a 55 minute runtime, happy divers and ready for a rest.
So, if you want great crews, top site selections and a company who will humour your obsessive tech diver brain, go to Aquanauts and rack up some deco.
