One of the best train journeys we have ever undertaken.

点评：Took the train from Beijing to Xian and then from Xian to Shanghai. Long journeys on the train but everything was so well organised. You will need your booking reference once you arrive at the station, you will need your passport and you will need to undergo security checks before getting on the train itself. As for the journey, the seats were very comfortable in the first class service, there was also a cleaner on board. Loos are in every carriage although some are just urinals while others are for sitting down. The chairs are so comfortable you can not believe you are racing through the countryside at nearly 200 mpg. It's also very quiet too. Best train ride I have ever been on and the British Train Service is very secondary in comparison. This is what you get when you have a public owned service where the government invests in it. Everything is so well organised, just like the underground service which leaves the London Underground looking distinctly third rate.
