点评:Very cool geology and flora. A unique piece of the desert. However, as with many places that sport the "brown sign" we all recognize as federal recreations areas, national parks, national monuments and wildlife refuges... too many people. Parking lots full, trails full, no solitude. Its unfortunate, but real. Several places we bypassed because we could not park there. There was "overflow parking" for the visitors center and the main parking lot still had empty slots but was coned off. The overflow parking was a one lane gravel road with no place to turn around and it was gridlock. Camp ground was full (shocking). Trails were abundant, but if you travel with a dog like us... nope. NO DOGS on trails. Because dogs scare wildlife, harbor bacteria and create odors. Ummmm. People do all of those things exponentially. Dogs on a leash not even allowed. Cannot leave them in a hot car. So if you have a dog, write your Senator and in the meantime... dont go.
