Bahamas Carnival的点评
点评：I just got back from my trip. We hit 3 ports. Bimini, Nassau, and Freeport leaving out of Norfolk Va. I suggest using an Uber for drop off. It’s a lot of folks hitting a small area at 1 time. Don’t arrive too far ahead of your scheduled time. Boarding was simple and efficient. The first day at sea was a little rough but not bad. The room was small but adequate. Our cabin steward Siaful was awesome! He was the only part of this trip to get a top score. The boat itself…. I loved the serenity deck. Most times chairs were available. The lower decks at times could get a bit crowded. The noise levels were not as bad as I expected. There was enough to do on board that the average person won’t get bored. Food…. This disappointed me. Guys burgers was great! Blue iguana was ok. The Buffett was always cold and many dishes were slightly undercooked. The meat one night was so rare it looked like someone just struck a match and tossed it past it. Nothing made me sick so that was good. Of positive note the orange juice was the best I’ve had. The tea was bland but you can fix that yourself. The water on board was surprisingly good. The ports….. Bimini, no need to go back there. Once was enough. It was cool to look down into the water along the pier and see wild sharks. The locals will trip over each other to rent you a golf cart. We tried walking but you really do need a cart. The prices are negotiable so don’t get ripped off. $60-$75 for the day but they will start at $275, whatever they think you might be willing to pay. Nothing really on this island of note. Next stop was Nassau. I really liked Nassau. Much more modern with some historical attractions within walking distance. I would go back to Nassau. Freeport…. Just an industrial park. Unless you have an excursion not much to see. Excisions run $100-$400 per person. We stayed on the boat that day. There is a senior frogs right as you get off the boat here. It’s a good lunch spot. The trip home was awful. 5 days later I still feel like I’m rocking. Overall a little bit of a let down but the value of the experience was worth it. I would sail again and use Carnival again, probably just not this destination package. The crew was great. Most of the turnoffs were not within the ships control but they do need to figure out the hot food situation.
