An Eye-Opening and Thought-Provoking Dharavi Tour with an Excellent Guide

点评：We had an excellent experience with Passport Lifestyles during our half-day Dharavi tour on February 20th. Everything was extremely well organized from start to finish.
Our guide, Ali, arrived punctually to pick us up from the lobby of our hotel, the Trident, and a car was waiting outside to take us to Churchgate station. From there we enjoyed a first-class local train ride to Mahim, right on the edge of the Dharavi slum, which was an experience in itself and a great way to see how Mumbai moves.
The walk through Dharavi was truly an eye-opener. What struck us most was the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the people living and working there. We saw countless small industries operating within the slum, including plastic recycling, leather working, pottery, and many other forms of small-scale manufacturing. It was fascinating to see how self-sufficient and industrious the community is, even though the living and working conditions can be quite shocking.
Ali was an excellent guide. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful throughout the tour. He stopped regularly to explain what was happening in the various workshops and neighbourhoods along the way, giving us a much deeper understanding of how the slum functions and the realities of life there.
This tour was one of the most memorable and thought-provoking experiences of our visit to Mumbai. We would highly recommend Passport Lifestyles to anyone interested in gaining a deeper insight into the city beyond the usual tourist attractions.
