Do Not Choose Amazon Amazing Tours If You Want a Professional Experience

点评：I booked a 3-day, 2-night Amazon tour and paid for a room with private bathroom and AC, but upon arrival, I was given a shared room with two other people. I tried contacting both the tour agency (Amazon Amazing Tours) and the lodge (Ipanema Guest House), but there was a lot of back-and-forth miscommunication. At one point, the lodge even suggested I sleep in the jungle instead, which was uncomfortable, poorly organized, and full of mosquitoes.
The tour itself has some incredible experiences—the Amazon scenery, wildlife, fishing, dolphins, BBQ in the forest, and visiting a local family were all highlights. The local family interaction was the best part, giving a glimpse into real life in the forest, including trying local fruits, playing soccer, and seeing their school.
That said, the tour is extremely disorganized. You spend a lot of free time waiting at the lodge, and the schedule seems random. Activities like watching sunset or sunrise are rigidly scheduled regardless of weather, so for my group, we only saw clouds. Guides often tried to redirect me to different activities or back to the forest, rather than letting me join the group as planned. Everything is handled with pen and paper instead of digital organization, which feels outdated.

Overall, while the Amazon itself is amazing, the tour and accommodation experience was disappointing. If you’re booking this tour, make sure your private room is confirmed in writing, speak Portuguese if possible, and be prepared for a lack of organization.
