I've been a regular visitor to the Hockenheimring for 13 years - attending events like ADAC GT Masters, IDM, Historic Classics, and Nitrolympx. Last weekend, I attended the Jim Clark Revival for the second time.
This year, I bought more expensive tickets specifically to get access to the infield parking for car clubs and to participate in the drive on the track.
However, upon arrival, I was told that although I had bought the correct tickets, my car was “not old enough” to access the parking area - something that was never mentioned during the ticket purchase process. As a result, I had to park outside.
The next day, I wasn’t even allowed to park there anymore and was redirected to a parking area on the other side of the track, resulting in a 20-minute detour plus a 10-minute walk. Because of that, I missed the drive on the track entirely.
So in the end, I paid more than €120 for what turned out to be a regular visit.
Total disappointment and an absolute rip-off.
Unfortunately, this level of unprofessional organization has completely ruined the experience for me. After 13 years as a loyal fan and supporter, I won’t be returning and will instead focus on other tracks in the future.
Dear Hockenheimring, thank you for the memories - but this time, you went too far and lost a loyal supporter.
