点评:My 4th time to the island and Ao Tanote. It has always been 'my' paradise. It still is, but i was quite sad to see how it has changed. While it still is a pretty quiet beach there are a lot of day visitors coming over on their scooters and most of them do not care about anything but themselves. Hardly any of them came to snorkel but to jump from the rock and show off how 'cool' they are. They did not care for the environment and stepped and stood on the corals, they left their rubbish on the beach (which we picked up each evening together with the rubbish that gets washed up ). We spoke to the owner of our resort and she said it's is a big problem. Signs are up but these kind of people do not care about reading. I guess the way forward would be for the resort owners to get together and make the bay private, charging a fee like many other bays do now, to stop some of the idiots and to be able to employ staff that picks up litter.
But we still had amazing sightings of the most amazing fish, a few baby sharks amongst them, a turtle, octopus, and on land lots of reptiles, amphibians, insects, a few different bird species , lots of squirrels and even flying foxes.
