点评：Santa Maria de Pineda, a 16th - century Baroque church. The previous Romanesque building was consecrated in 1079 by Berenguer Guifre, bishop of Girona and was rebuilt to make the present church. The church was fortified following the attacks of Turkish pirates in 1545.
I found this information on the tour of the Historic centre of Pineda de Mar, walking tour map, from the tourist Information office.
The church isn't open very often, so if you see the doors open take a look.
Opening hours for Masses - Saturdays 19h, Sundays and Feast days 9.45h - 11.00h, Work days 19h.
Quite plain inside as it was gutted in the Spanish Civil War.
The bells ring every 15 minutes, from 8 am until midnight, so you will hear them if you are staying in the area, but you do get used to them.
Worth a look if you are in the area.
