点评:If you or someone you know is an airplane geek, and you're in or near Hamburg, this is probably worth a visit. It's unique and while photos are not allowed and you might not learn anything new, it's still a pretty nice experience. If you're not interested/passionate about flying this tour likely isn't for you. The tour lasts a little over 2 hours, and we got to walk into two of the production hangers and see near finished planes from a viewing platform. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about aviation and Airbus. I can understand the concerns of others that the cost seems inflated for what may be seen as a simple bus tour with little to no ability to take pictures to show something for it, but as a self-admitted fan of aviation I didn't think it was too unreasonable.
A few tips/takeaways:
- It certainly helps doing this tour on a non-Sunday so you can see all the production activity.
- It's accessible by public transit (bus) but take note of the timing to get out to the factory since it's fairly far away. We took an Uber out from Hamburg downtown, but it was a challenge to get an Uber to come out to the factory to take us back (though we did eventually make it after three canceled on us...)
- Next to the meeting place for the tour there is a fairly newly constructed commercial area with a hotel, Rewe, and coffee shop, whereas before it seemed this was in the literal middle of nowhere. So, either pre- or post-tour you will be able to stop in for a refreshment if needed.
