Very interesting insight into centuries old flour milling

点评：We visited during a short break in the New Forest and are so glad that we did. Our first stop was the café, which is really nice, with excellent coffee in particular and a very friendly person behind the counter. The exhibition is perhaps geared more for younger visitors in parts, which is understandable these days to interest and inspire them and perhaps even encourage them to become volunteers, but is well laid out and very informative. We were then warmly welcomed in the shop/entrance desk and were able to spend some time chatting with the miller and a volunteer while they carried out cleaning work on the millstones, and set the wheels in motion for us while we were there. As volunteers on another historic "industrial" site it was interesting to share thoughts with them about common issues in this field. The videos were well made and interesting too. A second visit to the café, and a walk around the mill pond, finished off an excellent visit. Recommended!
