科隆大圣马丁教堂的点评
点评：Groß St Martin is without a shadow of a doubt one of the most beautiful churches in Cologne, built on the remains of some Roman ruins ,parts of this church dates from 960 but the majority of these church was constructed between 1150-1250 ,its built in a architectural style known as Trefoil which basically means it has three apses ,its stunning to look at but during World War Two this church suffered badly throughout the war from Allied bombing raids as did the city ,on the 30th of January 1942 this church took major damage, the tower and nave were completely destroyed, 1943 saw the Chapel Of St Bebedict destroyed in a heavy bombing raid and in the final days of World War Two again received major damage as did the Altstadt ( Old Town ) with 95% of the Old Town destroyed, post war this church was completely rebuilt and the results are stunning, a wonderful church to view thats most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Cologne and easy to locate on An Groß St Martin.
