Don't bother with the on-site accommodation.

点评：We recently attended a family wedding at Birtsmorton Court. As a wedding venue it is certainly stunning especially on a lovely sunny day. The ceremony was held outside. The setting was beautiful with the flowers set out that were chosen by the Bride & Groom. Unfortunately there is NO SHADE and I sustained SUNBURN from this time sitting in the hot sun. A very few small parasols were available, but for less than one quarter of the sitting guests. I was not quick enough to get one! This is a serious health & safety issue for all during outside ceremonies.
All the wedding food was really nice.
My main criticism is the accommodation. We chose to stay in the garden house. On reflection we wish we'd have chosen a local Airbnb or hotel, to stay in the night before and the night of the wedding. (There are several options available within 15 mins drive). The accommodation was not clean, lights did not work, a bathroom radiator was hanging off the wall, with a used towel on it. Very grubby marked paintwork all around the house. The bridal party had to move all their belongings themselves, from where they got ready to the garden house for overnight. (There was a lot of it too). With weddings back to back, one the day before, and also the day after, access to accommodation was a problem. There was nowhere to change before the start of the festivities, as we did not want to travel 130 miles suited & booted, and we had to vacate by 10am. It is definitely not worth the money. Having now looked at previous reviews (wish I'd looked before) they don't seem to have improved things at all with the accommodation. Maybe this is not a priority.
