Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta的点评
点评：Spectacular gothic cathedral with the tallest spire, and the largest cathedral close which has some other architectural gems including Edward Heath's home. There are lots of vistas/photo ops as you walk around.
Ladies on the reception desk were very friendly and chatty, but, as it was after April 1st, the entrance fee had gone up from £13 to £14.50! This also includes a viewing of the Magna Carta. After the carved and ornate exterior, I found the interior almost plain. The font (William Pye - designer) - looked more like an infinity pool, but it was quite the hit with Japanese tourists & I had to wait ages to get a shot!! Obviously a star attraction! I spent over a hour inside the cathedral, found the gift shop particularly tacky, ate in the refectory - not bad, good value but clumsy staff and not enough tables!
