点评：I recently used Tulagi Tours & Travel for a day trip to Tulagi and Roderick Bay. While the experience on the ground was a bit of a mixed bag, I was very impressed with Richard’s coordination and professional handling of the logistics.
Richard’s communication was excellent from the start. He was incredibly helpful with our visa application letter and made the effort to meet us at the pier to ensure we got off okay. His pre-trip service is definitely the highlight of the experience.
The day itself felt like a very raw, local experience. We toured in a police truck, which was a bit rough in terms of comfort, and the history portion of the day was shorter than expected, as we finished the circuit about 40 minutes early. It was also a particularly windy and rainy day, so the three-hour boat ride back was quite a physical challenge—something to keep in mind if the weather looks turned.
There was a misunderstanding regarding access fees at Roderick Bay, which led to a bit of a localized dispute over payment. However, Richard handled the situation with integrity. He had clearly instructed the boat master beforehand that fees were covered, and when things went sideways, he apologized and issued a refund that same evening.
Overall, the day was an average experience with some logistical hurdles, but Richard is a communicative and honest operator. If you are looking for a trip that feels very unpolished and "local," his service provides a reliable point of contact to get you there.
