点评：I never would have heard of this place if it wasn't for our local tour guide, who was fantastic.
Even though we didn’t go inside, just learning about it and seeing it from the outside was almost as good.
The unique design of the spiral staircase stands out among the traditional Venetian buildings, and the intricate details are beautiful and eye-catching.
It’s like something out of a Shakespearean play.
Our local tour guide shared interesting backstory about the history of the staircase.
It was built in the 15th century by one of the founding families of Venice and is a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles.
“Bovolo” means “snail” in Venetian dialect, which totally fits the spiral shape!
There were a few people taking photos in the garden and climbing the staircase.
If you’re wandering the streets of Venice, definitely set aside time to admire the Scala Contarini del Bovolo.
