点评:We found Le Collection Romeo Bovin in Saguenay one Sunday while looking for an antique store. We strolled up the drive and Romeo came out to meet us in his straw hat and beautiful French smile. He invited us into his garage to see his amazing collection of what I believe are his favorite things. He had everything from a children's tea set to Titanic relics with lots of automobile and technology items in the mix. His collection is interesting, neat and tidy.
But Romeo is the most fascinating part of the visit. He's charming and handsome but as he said to me, "My mouth works but my ears don't." Conversation is challenging so I just listened.
Romeo has been a collector for 71+ years. We enjoyed listening to him, and appreciated the little lesson on life that he hands out to his guests.
As we left, I kissed him on both cheeks, and said, "Merci beaucoup" in my best Tennessee accent. He laughed and my day was made.
I hope to return to Saguenay. It's a refreshingly slow beautiful city and I enjoyed it. The Gelato was delicious. I spent some American money at the craft fair in the little park. But most of all, I will remember Romeo, and I hope to return to see him again.
