点评：Castel Sant’Angelo is one of the rewarding places we visited in Rome. The surroundings alone are beautiful, with the Tiber River, historic bridges, and views toward the Vatican setting the scene even before you enter.
As you walk through the castle, you experience its many layers of history, but the highlight is undoubtedly the terrace at the top. The panoramic views are breathtaking. Seeing St. Peter’s Basilica in the evening, illuminated and glowing against the sky, was truly special — it looks completely different once the lights come on.
The café on the terrace is a lovely bonus. Sitting there with a drink, enjoying the view and the atmosphere, felt like the perfect way to pause and take everything in. Castel Sant’Angelo is not just a monument, but an experience — highly recommended if you’re in the Vatican City.
