The Best Views of the Colosseum

点评：Palatine Hill ended up being one of the most captivating parts of our visit to ancient Rome.
We accessed it using the Full Experience Ticket with Entry to the Arena of the Colosseum, booked directly through the official Parco Archeologico del Colosseo website. The ticket included Palatine Hill, the Roman Forum, Imperial Fora, SUPER sites, and the Colosseum Arena.
One of the best views of the Colosseum is actually from Palatine Hill. From the elevated paths, you get a stunning perspective across the Roman Forum toward the Colosseum, and it helped us understand how the whole archaeological area connects.
We were initially concerned about not having formal 'skip-the-line' access, but it worked out well. We entered the Roman Forum/Palatine area via the Via dei Cerchi entrance near Circus Maximus, and there was no line when we arrived.
Make sure you take advantage of the SUPER sites if your ticket includes them. Not all ticket types provide access, including some guided tour tickets, and we noticed tickets being checked at those entrances.
Palatine Hill felt calmer than the Colosseum and gave us more space to absorb the history. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, snacks, and sunscreen, because you’ll walk far more than expected.
