Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party的点评
点评：First, we are a special-needs group that meets at Disney World's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party every couple of years. Due to changes to Disney's "Disability Pass," it took 2 hours to get everyone signed up and ready to go out to the party. As a mother of a son with Down Syndrome, it's hard for him to wait in line; it invites a meltdown, and as my son is 28 and weighs 200lbs, you definitely don't want a meltdown. I always looked at Disney's special needs pass as one of the few benefits of having a child with Special Needs. Apparently, so did a lot of able-bodied jerks, and now Disney makes our special needs community sign up online, talk with a "person" online, and verify that they do have special needs by asking a lot of unnecessary questions.
Second, the bus situation is a nightmare. We stayed at Shades of Green, and you need a "bus pass" (and you'd better have it before you get on the bus). Then, on the way back to the resort, they actually stop the bus at the guardhouse, and security climbs on to make sure you have that bus pass! What are they going to do, throw you off the bus?
Disney is so concerned about people paying that ridiculous parking fee that they are making it extremely inconvenient for their guests. Not to mention the cost of tickets, merchandise, and food. 20 years ago, Disney was a great place to take the kids, enjoy the day, and eat a meal. Now, with all of the restrictions, new rules, and limitations, it's nothing short of a hassle.
