Not the standard we would expect
St Austell Brewery的点评
点评：We had previously stayed in a St Austell Brewery in Branscombe Devon and had a great time with friends. We were all so impressed we all booked to stay at the Old Custom House in Padstow. The location was superb , right on the quay and the building looked impressive. The reception was closed, despite the fact we arrived at 4pm. A member of staff took us through to the bar which was very nicely decorated and inviting.
However, when we were led to our room, things started to go wrong. The corridor up to the room was tired looking and the banister was sticky. Once in our room we immediately saw that the room was in need of attention. The window frames were filthy with black mould on the inside (which could easily be wiped off) and there was a branch growing through the bathroom window. There were damp patches on the walls , cobwebs and the ceiling needed attention. Our friend's room was also not up to the standard we would expect and we decided to look elsewhere to stay. We were offered a refund straight away. The excuse was given that the premises were due for a refurb in January 26 but this is no excuse for bad management and housekeeping!
We left and luckily found accommodation elsewhere. Despite several emails to the Company with attached photos and the automatic email response saying a Customer Services representative would contact us, no one ever has.
We won't be staying in a St Austell pub again.
